​​​​Dr Craig Thiessen, Radiology Advisor

Dr Thiessen is a consulting radiologist in Houston, Texas with extensive experience in breast imaging and the use of supplemental modalities for imaging the dense breast. Dr Thiessen was one of the first to launch a contrast enhanced mammography (CEM) program in Texas in 2015. Dr Thiessen was also an early adopter of breast MRI, molecular breast imaging/breast specific gamma imaging (MBI/BSGI), and automated breast ultrasound (ABUS). His experience with breast imaging spans from the early days of xeromammography to 3D/tomosynthesis and now CEM. 

Dr Thiessen has a true passion to improve diagnoses and outcomes in morbidity and mortality from breast cancer. He has lectured all over the world on imaging and breast related disease, with great interest and enthusiasm from the audience. 

Dr Thiessen is also available for peer-to-peer consulting for mammography centers wishing to start a CEM program.

​Christina Robertson, Patient Advocate

Christina has dense breasts and sought out CEM to help her care team with her complex breast imaging case. Surgical removal of a concerning area had been recommended. However, CEM was then performed and showed that the area of concern was not enhancing. Christina was incredibly relieved and is now back to regular annual screening mammography.
